Two vehicles of the same model may have different value if one is complete and the other has been stripped. Reusable components, damage and the condition of the vehicle matter alongside material value. Tell us about anything removed or sold separately; a quote for a complete car may not apply after parts are taken off.

Be specific about difficult access
A driveway pickup is different from reaching a car behind other vehicles, inside a low garage or on soft ground. State whether the wheels turn, whether keys are present and whether the steering can move. Explain any gate, height or turning restriction. The team needs to confirm suitable access and equipment before agreeing collection.

- Check the cabin, trunk, glove box and storage compartments for belongings.
- Keep the keys and available ownership records accessible; raise missing-document or financing issues before pickup.
- List missing components and any loose parts you want included. Do not assume other waste or equipment is part of the collection.
- Confirm the agreed amount, payment arrangement and pickup window before handover.
Ask what happens after collection
End-of-life vehicle processing involves more than moving a car out of sight. Ask how reusable components, batteries and vehicle fluids will be handled and who will process the vehicle. Can you assess a scrap car with missing wheels or parts?
You can send the details for review, but collection must be checked for that vehicle. List the missing components and describe the surface beneath the car. Do not assume a standard loading method will work for an incomplete vehicle.
Do I need to pay separately for scrap car pickup in Calgary?
The agreed pickup is included when i-Tow buys the vehicle. Confirm the amount and collection terms for the disclosed condition and exact address. Transporting a vehicle that you intend to keep is a separate towing service.
Does requesting removal mean I must accept the offer?
No. Ask for the vehicle assessment and collection terms, then decide whether they suit you. A submitted form does not automatically book a truck or complete a vehicle sale.
Can an unwanted car be collected from a workshop or shared lot?
Discuss the site before booking. Confirm that you can sell the car, arrange any workshop release and get permission for collection. Provide the right entrance and contact person so access can be assessed.
