Paperwork to have ready
Have the registration in your name and your driver's licence. Keep a copy of the signed bill of sale for your records. In Alberta, licence plates stay with the owner, not the car, so take them off before the car leaves. Take your belongings out of the glove box, the trunk and under the seats, and remove any parking passes. You don't need to clean or repair the car; we buy it as it is.

When should I cancel my insurance?
After the sale is done and the car has been picked up. Keep your copy of the bill of sale.
Can you buy my car if it still has a loan?
Tell us early. The loan usually has to be paid off before ownership can change, and we'll explain the next steps.
